Accounts Support Consultant

You will join our growing Support & Consultancy team working with end-users of our Proclaim Accounts software. The first port of call for clients using our Accounts software, you will be taking and resolving queries that arrive via phone and email. Dealing mainly with cashiers/legal accounting staff, you will not only solve problems/skills gaps that individuals are experiencing with specific software features, but you will also often need to guide them through specific legal accounting and legislative procedures to enable them to get the most from our system. You will join our existing Support team, providing assistance to users of our Proclaim Case Management software. You will provide first-line support to our clients, who make contact with our Support team primarily via telephone, but also via email, fax, and the Eclipse website. Dealing with a varied level of IT user, from novices through to technical administrators, you will take initial enquiries and lead them through to a successful resolution. Enquiries will be mainly related to our bespoke Proclaim software, but will also involve Microsoft products and networking. Essential skills/qualifications/qualities:
• Graduate – possibly Computer Science or related discipline

Support Analyst Role

We have an opportunity for a Support Analyst to join the IS team at Shoosmiths which is an established Top 30 national law firm. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has the ability to deal with internal clients at all levels. Providing a 1st and 2nd line support service through the IS Desk and also by direct business contact via on-site support the successful applicant will need to be approachable and have a good customer focus. You will be expected to deliver the highest level of support and coaching to end users ensuring the most cost effective use of the business systems. You will be service driven with an inquisitive and analytical mind and good communication skills. You will also have the confidence to deal effectively with colleagues in all parts and at levels of the business. Working a 37.5 hour week your role will include staffing the IS Service Desk on a rota basis during core hours (currently Mon-Fri 8.00am to 6.00pm) managing the life cycle of a support incident through to resolution. Once established in the role you will be required to provide on-call "out of hours" 1st line support cover on a rota basis. You will also assist with IT relocations and moves and assist in other areas of the IS department as and when required. You will need to have a good understanding of IT systems and infrastructure and ideally have experience of providing support across multiple sites. Exposure to working to tight SLA’s and KPI’s is essential as is using your own initiative to resolve problems while working under pressure. This role will suit those who have experience equivalent to at least 2 years IT support in a service industry and who are qualified at ITIL foundation level or above. Familiarity with LAN (and WAN) technologies and some experience of dealing with telecommunications systems is essential.
